NOTES FROM THE PUBLIC FORUM HELD ON 03 SEPTEMBER 2026

There were 6 members of the public present together with District Cllr Ashton.

Two members of the public attended to report ongoing anti social behaviour at the picnic area. The Parish Council advised that all incidents should be reported to the police via 101 so that a formal record is kept, although residents noted that long waiting times make this difficult.

One resident suggested installing wildlife cameras and signage to help deter the behaviour. Residents have also set up a WhatsApp group to notify others quickly when issues arise.

Also, there is concern as there has been no community speed watch equipment ordered.  The new Clerk will try to get things ordered.

The Clerk will contact the County Council to seek their views on the suggestion of installing wildlife cameras and signage.

Two other members of the public also wished to report anti social behaviour occurring on Mary Lovell Way. They further advised that several street lights in the Close remain out of operation.  The Clerk read out an email confirming that the lighting should be repaired soon and provided the relevant contact details for residents to follow up if needed. Residents also expressed concern that the road has not yet been formally adopted by the Council.
