April 2019 - Annual Parish Meeting
Minutes of the Stickney Annual Parish Meeting held on Thursday 16 April 2019 at 7.30pm in the Youth Centre, Hall Lane, Stickney
1. Apologies
Apologies were received from Cllr Sherriff
Present: Cllrs Edwards, Pritchard, Cooper, Lawrence, Goodwin and M Bolland (Chairman of the Parish Council)
Also Present: Dist Cllr Jones, eight members of the public and two speakers
2. Minutes of the annual parish meetings held on 11 May 2017 and 03 May 2018
The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 11 May 2017 were not available at the 2018 Annual Parish Meeting, they were read out by the Clerk, approved and signed at this meeting.
The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 03 May 2018 were read out by the Clerk, approved and signed as a true record.
3. Chairman’s annual report
The Chairman read out the annual report to Parishioners, a copy of this will be put in the Parish Magazine.
4. Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue – Safety in the home
A talk was given by Dan Moss of Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, questions were asked and answered.
5. Community Speed Watch
Wayne Goodwin showed the equipment used by the Community Speed Watch team and outlined some speeding issues in Stickney. Questions about the scheme were asked and answered.
6. NHS Healthwatch Lincolnshire
Oonagh Quinn gave a talk about the work of NHS Healthwatch and encouraged anyone to report any NHS issues to the group, good or bad, to help get a better picture of the health care locally.
7. Refreshments
Refreshments were served, giving the members of the public a chance to talk to the speakers and Councillors present.
